To provide you with secure and verified room/flat listing and scouting services, we collect several types of information:

Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and account password.
Identity Verification Documents: Aadhaar Card images and Selfie photographs. These are required to verify the identity of hosts and tenants, maintaining a safe community.
Listing Data: Property descriptions, rent amounts, amenities, contact details, and listing images.
Location Information: Precise or approximate coordinates (latitude and longitude) of properties, detected via your device GPS or specified during listing creation to show markers on the map.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To enable you to create listings, search, and map properties.
To review, verify, and confirm user profiles via uploaded Aadhaar cards and selfie photos to ensure trust and security (Admin review).
To display geocoded listings to other users looking for rentals.
To send OTPs, forgot password verification codes, and service notifications.

3. Secure Data Segregation & Protection

We take security very seriously. All sensitive verification documents (Aadhaar cards and selfie photos) are segregated into unique user-specific directories and are not accessible to public unauthenticated web paths. Only authorized administrators can review these verification documents in the admin panel.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information as long as your account is active or needed to provide services. If you wish to delete your account and remove all your data (including verification photos and listings), you may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at support@myghar.com. Upon verification, your files and database entries will be permanently deleted within 14 business days.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated "Last Updated" date.
